What we collect, why we collect it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 26th July 2026We collect what you type into our forms and basic analytics about how the site is used. We use it to reply to you and to run the studio. We never sell it, and if you want it deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Who we are
Waywest Design Ltd is the data controller for this website. We are a web design and branding studio at 55 St Paul’s Street, Leeds LS1 2TE. Anything in this policy, ask us at contact@waywestdesign.co.uk or on 0113 466 0870.
What we collect
When you fill in a form we collect what you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number, website address, your message and any file you attach.
We also collect standard usage data through cookies, such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, so we can see how the site is being used.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver projects and look after client sites. We use the usage data to improve the website. We only send marketing if you have asked for it, and you can opt out at any time.
The legal bases
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- Consent, when you send us a form or ask to hear from us.
- Contract, when we are working with you or preparing to.
- Legitimate interests, for running and improving the website.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that keep the studio running: our hosting provider, our email provider and our analytics provider. Each one handles your data under its own agreement with us. We will also share data if the law requires it.
Cookies
The site uses necessary cookies to work and analytics cookies to measure how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site keeps working without the analytics ones.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we might still need them to help you, then deleted. Client records and invoices are kept for as long as UK tax rules require, then removed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, stop using it for marketing, or send it to someone else in a usable format. Email contact@waywestdesign.co.uk and we will sort it.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
